Retro Makeup Look

For this look, I was really inspired by a Wet’n Wild trio I had sitting in my drawer called ‘I’m Feeling Retro.’ image

So, obviously I had to create a spacey, 70’s retro-themed makeup look! Here’s what I did:

|} Outline a winged shape extending above the crease and fill in ~ NYC kohl eyeliner: 926 white

|}  Set with a white eyeshadow

|} Add a gray eyeshadow above the outlined area near the inner socket of the eye to deepen this area and define more

|} Apply the blue crease color in the same shape on the outer corner, tapering into the center

|} Pack on the pink eyelid shade onto the rest of the lid

|} Mix the blue & pink on a blending brush and blend out line between the shadows (make sure to leave the harsh crease line)

|} Apply the same white pencil under the browbone and add the shimmery white browbone color on top

|} Outline the entire eyeshadow shape and create a small triangle in the inner corner of the eye ~ Maybelline Line Stiletto: blackest black2015_0301_02191700_1.jpg

|} Line lower lashline with the white pencil and apply the crease color to the outer half, and blend in the eyelid color to the inner half. Apply the browbone shade to the inner tear duct

|} Tightline and add a generous amount of mascara to the top lashes ~ Urban Decay: Perversion & Maybelline the Classic Volum’ Express: very black

|} Add a light blue pencil liner to the waterline ~ NYC pencil: 883 you’ve got the power

|} Coat bottom eyelashes with a pink mascara to tie the eye look all together! ~ Max Factor Vivid Impact: highlighting topcoat

|} Apply foundation and concealer to problem areas ~ Covergirl Tru Blend: ivory & Covergirl Invisible concealer: fair

|} Add a lighter shade in a triangle under the eyes, along the bridge of the nose, center of forehead, and chin to brighten~ Sassy & Chic BB Cream

|} Set under eyes with a white eyeshadow (to add to the retro look) and the rest of the face with a more natural powder ~ NYC Smooth Skin: naturally beige

|} Contour cheeks and temples heavily with a brown eyeshadow

|} Apply a light pink blush to cheeks
