New Years Eve Makeup

To bring in the new year, I decided to make a very dark, glittery smokey eye with a hint of purple. For this look, all the shadows used are from Urban Decay’s Smoked palette;

  1. Prime entire eyelids and lower lash line {Urban Decay primer potion}2016_0103_23475400.jpg
  2. Set all of the eye area with the shade kinky
  3. With a small pencil brush, start defining the crease with rockstar
  4. Blend out the edges with freestyle on a fluffy brush
  5. Reapply the purple shade and continue to blend and build up the pigmentation until the desired color is reached
  6. Apply a black pencil liner to the main eyelid area and smudge out to create a dark base {Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide on pencil}
  7. Pack blackout up to the crease and blend the colors together with a crease brush
  8. Add lash glue on the entire lid and top with a black glitter
  9. Set the glitter with asphalt
  10. Blend the black shade in the crease to tie the colors together
  11. Line the lower lashes with blackout and continue to smoke out with rockstar
  12. Add mascara

~I applied a light bb cream under my eyes and on the high points of my face after cleaning up all the fall out from the dark shades to brighten

~Add contour and blush as desired

~I chose a matte liquid lipstick so the color stayed put all night {Nyx Lingerie-corset}

I hope this helps and make sure to bring in the new year on a positive note, whether you’re out partying or at home spending the night on the couch!!!
